5 Things Every Entrepreneur Needs to be Wildly Successful

Anyone who wants to be an entrepreneur must be crazy.
You have to work like a slave, your relationships suffer, and the pay is measly (at the beginning, at least).

But you’re one of the crazy ones. One of those whom Steve Jobs was talking about — someone who could change the world. Maybe.
Since you’re already on this entrepreneurial roller-coaster, have you considered how you could take your business to the next level? Here are some points that might help.

1. Coaching & mentorship
Nobody makes it alone.
Take any wildly successful person, and if they’re honest, they’ll tell you how others have mentored them along the way.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg had Steve Jobs. Billionaire Warren Buffet had Benjamin Graham. Our very own Tony Fernandes had Sir Richard Branson. And even someone as rebellious as Eminem had a mentor: Dr. Dre.
Why are mentors so important? How else would an inexperienced entrepreneur quickly learn the road to success — besides hearing it from someone who’s actually conquered the entrepreneurial mountain. The only other alternative is to try, fail, and learn the hard way. But that’s expensive…
“If you ask any successful businessperson, they will always have had a great mentor at some point along the road.”
- Sir Richard Branson -

2. Publicity
Almost everyone knows the story of how Steve Jobs built Apple into the world’s most valuable company.
What is less known is that Jobs had a co-founder at Apple: Steve Wozniak. Wozniak was actually the brains behind the early Apple computers — he single-handedly designed and hand-built Apple’s first computer: the Apple I. Without Wozniak, Apple would never have had its first product.
Why is it though, that people overwhelmingly think of Jobs when talking about Apple? Because he was the perfect complement to Wozniak’s technical genius — Jobs was a master salesman who knew how to get people’s attention.
Maybe you’re not the kind of person who wants to get on stage, launch products in front of a live audiences and do media interviews. That’s OK. But remember that Wozniak’s wonderful inventions would never have been sold without Jobs’ PR skills.
It’s not enough to just have a brilliant product. The world needs to hear about it too.
